Upon your first contact with Therapeutic Resources you will be assigned a Placement Coordinator. Your coordinator will guide you through the process to help you find your perfect position. They will review your resume and update it for you, present you with options for open positions, arrange and prepare you for your interviews and even provide you with travel information.

Build a Position
Everyones' needs are different. To get you started in finding your perfect position you need to start making choices.

Choose your:

  • Location – We offer positions in all five boros, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland and New Jersey.
  • Schedule – Part time or full time
  • Payment Status – Customized to meet your needs. Choose from independent contractor, Therapeutic Resources Employee or employee of a facility.        
  • Practice Setting – Mix and match populations to create variety in your position.

Adult Rehabilitation
Professionals with a preference for working with an adult population will have a hard time deciding between the wide variety of populations and settings available through Therapeutic Resources. Choose from:

• Skilled Nursing and Sub-Acute facilities
• Hospitals
• Homecare
• Outpatient, Sports Medicine and Pain Clinics
• Mental Retardation, Developmentally Delayed Day Programs & Group
   Homes

Preschool/School Age
Therapeutic Resources offers many options for putting together a pediatric caseload. We service a variety of pediatric settings treating preschool and school aged children, including center based private and public schools, New York City Early Intervention and New York City Department of Education.  Keep in mind - if you want to work during school holidays we have coverage assignments to keep you busy!

Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT)
Our Special Education Itinerant Teacher program provides services to children three to five years of age who are experiencing difficulties in one or more of the five developmental skill areas. Special Educators with a New York State Certification in Special Education are qualified as Special Education Itinerant Teachers.Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) assignments afford the teacher the opportunity to work full time or part time at very generous rates. It’s a great way to create a lucrative full time position, or supplement your income with a part time caseload.

Early Intervention (birth to three years old)
Early Intervention provides services to children from birth to age three who have, or are at risk of developmental disabilities. An Early Intervention  caseload provides both scheduling flexibility and generous per visit rates. Interventionists can choose to accept a small number of cases, to supplement other work commitments, or can opt to take on larger caseloads.Early Intervention services are provided at no cost to the family of eligible children, and are regulated by the New York State Department of Health and in New York City  by the New York City Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services.

Pediatric and Adult Evaluations
Therapists and special educators can perform evaluations to supplement their income. Take as many or as few as you want:

• Early Intervention
• School age
• Preschool
• Adults

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Therapeutic Resources now provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to both the early intervention and preschool populations. Our supervision and training program is dedicated to developing the skills of practitioners in the field, in order to meet the increasing demand for qualified providers.Affiliated providers participate in individual and group supervision and training programs, under the direction of our Applied Behavior Analysis Supervisors and Lead Teachers.

Our Placement Coordinators will:

  • Review Current Job Market Conditions
    Your Placement Coordinator will meet with you to discuss job market trends and opportunities. After discussing your personal preferences and interests they will share with you positions that meet your qualifications and strengths. Your coordinator sets up your interviews
    and tracks the process from beginning to end.
  • Resume Review
    Your placement coordinator will review your resume and make recommendations to help you stand out in the crowd. We will even revise it, process and print it for you in preparation for your interviews.
  • Job Interview Coaching
    Therapeutic Resources
    has been placing therapists and teachers for over 25 years. We understand the needs and personality of the facilities we’re referring you to. We’ll make sure you have all the tools and information you need to ace the interview.
